Instructions
Prepare the Bananas
Use very ripe bananas with plenty of brown spots on the peel as they will be sweeter, creamier, and blend much more smoothly than underripe bananas for a better tasting agua fresca.
Blend Until Creamy
Add the sliced ripe bananas, cold water, milk, ground cinnamon, and sugar to a blender. Blend on high speed for 90 seconds until the mixture is completely smooth, creamy, and frothy.
Taste and Adjust
Taste the blended banana agua fresca and adjust the sweetness and cinnamon to your liking. If the consistency is too thick add another half cup of cold water and blend briefly to combine.
Serve Immediately
Pour the agua de platano immediately over ice filled glasses as bananas oxidize quickly and the drink will darken if left sitting. Dust each glass with a pinch of cinnamon for a beautiful finish.
