Set up coating stations

Set up three shallow bowls with flour in the first egg in the second and breadcrumbs mixed with paprika and garlic powder in the third. This is the classic three step coating process.

Coat each strip

Dip each chicken strip first into flour shaking off excess then into beaten egg and finally into the seasoned breadcrumbs pressing gently so the coating sticks well.

Bake until golden

Place coated strips on a lightly oiled baking tray and drizzle with olive oil. Bake at 200C for 16 to 18 minutes flipping once halfway until golden and fully cooked through.

Rest and serve

Allow strips to rest for 3 minutes before serving so the juices settle and the coating crisps up further. Serve with mild tomato sauce or natural yogurt for dipping.
