Melt Butter and Marshmallows

In a large pot over low heat melt the butter completely then add the mini marshmallows and stir constantly until fully melted and smooth. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and salt.

Add the Cereal

Pour the Rice Krispies cereal into the melted marshmallow mixture all at once and stir quickly with a wooden spoon or silicone spatula until every piece of cereal is fully coated in the marshmallow mixture.

Press Into Pan

Transfer the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking pan and use a buttered spatula or wax paper to press the mixture down evenly into the pan without pressing too hard which would make them dense.

Cool and Cut

Allow the treats to cool at room temperature for at least 30 minutes before cutting into 12 equal squares. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
