Instructions
Steam the Edamame
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and add the frozen edamame. Cook for 4 to 5 minutes until the pods are bright green and the beans inside are tender. Drain well and transfer to a large bowl.
Season Immediately
While the edamame is still hot drizzle the sesame oil over it and toss to coat. The heat helps the oil absorb into the pods and carry the seasoning.
Add Dry Seasonings
Sprinkle the flaky sea salt garlic powder and red chili flakes over the edamame. Toss well so every pod gets an even coating of seasoning.
Finish and Serve
Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the seasoned edamame and toss one final time. Serve immediately in a bowl with a side dish for the empty shells.
