Instructions
Make the Dough
Combine flour, instant yeast, and warm water in a bowl and mix until a smooth sticky batter forms. Cover with a towel and let rise in a warm place for 30 minutes until puffy and bubbly.
Heat the Oil
Pour vegetable oil into a deep pot or saucepan and heat to 350 degrees. Test the oil temperature by dropping a tiny bit of batter in and it should sizzle and float immediately.
Fry the Puffs
Drop tablespoon sized balls of batter into the hot oil using a wet spoon. Fry for 3 to 4 minutes turning frequently until golden brown all over then remove with a slotted spoon.
Drizzle and Serve
Place the loukoumades on a plate, drizzle generously with warm honey, and sprinkle with cinnamon. Serve immediately while warm as kids love eating these fresh and sticky.
