Instructions
Preheat and Prepare Pitas
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F and place pita rounds on a baking sheet. Spread 2 tablespoons of mild pizza sauce evenly over each pita leaving a small border around the edge.
Add Toppings
Sprinkle shredded mozzarella generously over each sauced pita then let kids add their chosen toppings like pepperoni and olives. Sprinkle Italian seasoning over the top.
Bake Until Bubbly
Bake the pita pizzas in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the pita edges are lightly golden and crisp.
Cool and Slice
Remove from the oven and let cool for 3 minutes before slicing each pita into quarters. The cooling step prevents burned mouths from hot cheese.
