Instructions
Season and Sear Steak
Pat steaks dry and season generously on both sides with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Heat a cast iron skillet over high heat until smoking. Add 1 tablespoon butter and sear steaks for 2 to 3 minutes per side for medium rare. Remove and rest.
Fry the Eggs
Reduce heat to medium-low and add remaining butter to the same skillet. Crack eggs into the pan and cook sunny-side up for 3 to 4 minutes until whites are fully set and edges are slightly crispy.
Slice and Serve
Slice rested steaks against the grain into strips. Plate each steak beside two sunny-side up eggs. Spoon any pan juices over the steak and serve immediately.
