Make and Rest the Dough

Combine flour, yeast, a pinch of salt, and enough warm water to form a soft dough. Knead for 10 minutes, then cover and let rise in a warm place for 45 minutes until doubled in size.

Prepare the Filling

Cook minced beef in a pan over medium-high heat with paprika, salt, and pepper for 6 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove from heat and let cool slightly before mixing in the crumbled cheese.

Shape and Fill

Divide dough into 4 portions. Roll each into an elongated oval, add filling down the center, then fold and pinch the edges up to form a boat shape. Crack one egg into each pide.

Bake Until Golden

Place pide on greased baking trays and bake at 220C for 15 to 18 minutes until the dough is deep golden brown and the egg is just set. Brush edges with butter immediately after baking.
