Instructions
Saute the Garlic
Heat olive oil and butter in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant and just golden.
Add Wine and Steam
Pour in white wine, increase heat to high, and bring to a boil. Add mussels, cover tightly with a lid, and steam for 5 to 6 minutes until mussels open.
Check and Discard
Remove lid and discard any mussels that have not opened. They are not safe to eat and should not be forced open.
Finish and Serve
Scatter fresh parsley over the top and serve immediately in deep bowls with crusty bread for soaking up the incredible broth.
